Jenin, the northernmost city and governorate in the West Bank, is a beautiful region of rolling green hills and thick orchards of fig and carob trees.
Jenin city itself is positively buzzing, from the open-air markets to the Freedom Theatre – a unique unifying project born out of the large refugee camp.
In the surrounding countryside there are many cute agricultural villages, exquisitely restored old towns and sites such as the Burqin Christian church.
