Israel’s Ministerial Committee for Legislation approved on Sunday an amendment to the contested “Muezzin bill,” which seeks to impose limits on the Muslim call to prayer in Israel and in occupied East Jerusalem, paving the way for the bill to be voted on in the Knesset.
