Hebron is the largest governorate in Palestine and covers the entire southern end of the West Bank.
At its centre is the ancient city of Hebron, an economic hub with a rich history and a fascinating, irresistible centre. The city and surrounding towns are not quite as modern and European-feeling as the central West Bank.
But one town Al Dahriya has a wonderfully restored Old City, which should be on every tourist itinerary of Palestine.
