Duma (Hebron)
Duma is an attractive, spacious village on the fringe of al Dahriya, with sweeping fields of olive trees spreading out in all directions. Its centre is effectively that of al Dahriya, a large, bustling town with a marketplace and a beautifully renovated Old City. Duma itself does still have facilities including a health centre and a pharmacy however, as well as a range of small shops. The village is well-known for its olive press, which is the main press for the surrounding area, and hence a huge part of the village’s economy. The village is 21km southwest of Hebron, and just 2km outside the centre of al Dahriya. There is another village named Duma in Ramallah governorate, in the central West Bank.
