Zababdeh

Zababdeh is a Christian town located just 2km away from the impressive Arab American University of Jenin. Being a Christian town, there is a lovely church and it is also the only place in Jenin governorate where alcohol can be purchased.

There is a relaxed countryside atmosphere in Zababdeh, with flat farmland surrounding the town on all sides. The high street boasts a handful of different restaurants, as well as various shops and market stalls. Zababdeh, 15km southeast of Jenin, is respected in the region for its excellent educational facilities.

What To Do

The nearby Arab American University is well worth driving by, with its striking architecture and immaculate condition.

The city of Jenin itself is a hive of activity with a lot for visitors to see. Nearby Burqin is a beautiful spot, and home to the third oldest church in the world, apparently.

Where To Eat

Zababdeh has a small range of restaurants on its high street selling chicken, falafel and shawarma. Jenin is home to a range of sit-down restaurants, as well as some of the tastiest shawarma joints in Palestine.

There are several hotels in Jenin, as well as a hostel which is popular with travellers called Cinema Jenin Guesthouse.
