Zibda

Nestled among fir trees atop a hill, Zibda is very picturesque to behold as you head towards it on the road. This small village, located around 20km west of Jenin, is a quiet place with an obvious agricultural focus.

The urban area is surrounded by fields and the residents will travel round on the back of tractors. It has recently found the production of tobacco leaves to be profitable, and thus in the summer all the stages of drying out the leaves can be seen with a short stroll around the village. Zibda is home to a smattering of intriguing ruins, in particular it’s rather charming old mosque.

Population: 1,000 (2015 estimate)
